Dr. Peets’ Teaching Tip of the Week - The Morning Routine
Self-care is something that I need to get better at. I think it is something that most professionals struggle with whether it is taking time to build in exercise, eating better, getting enough sleep, or getting out of the house to be with family and friends on a regular basis.
While I love to hit the snooze button a few more times than I should, waking up at least 20 minutes to an hour earlier helps me to better prepare for my day. I can feel the difference between having just enough time to get to work rather than having more than enough time to enjoy the morning, get a few items off my to-do list before heading to school and taking my time listening to uplifting Christian radio with a positive message to start my day.
If you are willing to join me this week in waking up 20 minutes to an hour early this week to feel more in control and at ease, let me know how it has worked for you! I assure you that you won’t regret it!
