SEL/Teaching Tips of the Week
SEL TIP #22 - Intentional decision-making is what we do as educators to ensure that we support the development of every student in our classroom/school. Here are a few simple examples of how you can explicitly integrate SEL skills into your existing curriculum. Step one is knowing the competencies (self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness - *link to the CASEL framework), and the next step is intentionally linking it (for example - planning and responsible decision-making) to practice - because it takes PRACTICE - in your classroom.
