Academic Eligibility for Participation
Interscholastic athletics and extracurricular activities are an important extension of the academic program, supporting students’ mental, physical, social, and emotional development. Participation is a privilege, not a right, and requires students to meet standards set by the Sodus Central School District and the New York State Public School Athletic Association. These procedures apply to all Junior-Senior High School students participating in athletics and/or extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities are defined as non-credit-bearing programs that occur after the school day (2:11 PM).
